THE HEART OF A CHAMPION!!!
What began on November 14th has culminated in the greatest finish of any female athlete in Track and Field in the history of North Salem. Noemie Bechu placed 3rd in the State Championships as a sophomore. Her unwavering dedication and unrelenting work ethic is what enabled her to go further than any female athlete has before. Noemie had her mind set on the goal of being the best she could possibly be and she did that. Noemie was fortunate to have an entire team behind her (special thanks to those who showed up the last week of the season in 100 degree weather to work out with Noemie--Allison,Shawn, Sean, and Cullin).
A special thanks goes to the Bechu family who supported her throughout the entire season. A special thanks goes to Mr. Bechu who made the 12 hour journey in one day to see Noemie run.
Noemie is a young lady who is an even greater person than she is an athlete. Noemie fulfills all the requirements of the track and field priority list:
1. human being
2. student
3. athlete
Noemie is a pioneer and has laid the groundwork for many successful years to come. Although she was lonely at times during the state meet she knows that she will have some boys and girls from North Salem joining her next year.
